This is my giant mug. I made this as a request from a friend of mine, who also happens to be a pretty big guy so I thought that a large mug would be fitting. I glazed it in light blue and cobalt blue, with the glazes just about half and half portion-wise, and a mix of the two colors on the handle. With this project I learned how to pull and attach a larger handle.

This is my wheel altered project. It is in the shape of a four leaf clover in honor of St Patricks day. It is glazed in green with glass in the bottom. I learned how to alter a project, this was my first attempt and I am very happy with how it turned out and it completely opened the options that I have for different unique projects.

This is my macaroni bowl, it is customized for a friend per her request in shape and size. I glazed it in clear with glass in the bottom and red on the rim and "macaroni" written on the side. I learned to throw a shorter project and to use glass in the bottom.

This is my first plate, it was too thin and cracked through the middle but I decided to try a glaze anyways, which wasn't totally successful but it helped seal it a little. I glazed this in light blue and yellow, which didn't turn out as I planned because I wanted the glazes to mix. I learned how important it is to have thick plates and how easily they crack.

This is my set of three, it is composed of one large mug similar to one in a cafe, a small plate for the mug, and a small cup like that that is used for espressos. I glazed it with a clear base and splatters of cobalt blue and light blue, with glass at the bottom that mixed with the splattered glazes into a mix of dark and light blue. I learned how to make a plate and how to pull and attach small handles.

This is my first mug of second semester. I glazed it with a vertical stripe pattern to go along with my theme. I wanted it to look hand-made and have a vibrant glaze, with the vertical line pattern it gives the project length on the outside, while the mirroring lines on the inside give he project depth. When making this project I learned how to use the stick tool to help center, even, and straighten out my project while on the wheel, which is probably going to the most important technique that I use from now on!

This is my tall project, my theme is patterns so I glazed a multicolor tribal design that gradually grows larger towards the bottom. This project was difficult for me to make, I made a few projects before I finished one that I thought was adequate, and I learned how to use choking to lengthen my project as well as make it skinnier. This is meant to be a flower vase for my father.
